Stone Town is a very lively place where you will find a mixture of Arabic, African, Indian and European cultures living comfortably together. As you walk through the labyrinth of streets too narrow for cars to pass, you can see mosques, churches and temples side to side. While you move around, your guide will take you on a historical and cultural journey through the old slave market, Darajani market place, the House of Wonders, the Old Fort and the Sultan’s Palace.
The prison is now owned by a hotel, it was built in 1893 and was originally intended to house violent prisoners from the mainland and sick people. You will get the opportunity to visit the tortoise sanctuary, which contains a large colony of giant tortoise imported from the Seychelles in the late 19th century. There will be a chance to touch the tortoise and take photos. The island is also a home to a colony of beautiful peacocks. the rest of the trip you can either enjoy the marine life as you snorkel around the coral that fringes Prison Island or just relax under the warm glow of the sun, until you head back to Stone Town.

While there, you shall see how the spices, herbs and fruits grow and are cultivated. Your tour guide will describe how the crops can be used. Sandbank picnic in Zanzibar is a full day trip, departs in stone town near serena hotel at around 9:00am and we shall sail you away to prison island (changuu island). Lunch (sea foods and drinks), relax on the sandbank and swim.Tourists must come with towels and swimming suits, although we are giving out snorkeling gears we shall slowly start to sail back to Stone Town and return back to the Serena Inn by 03:30pm. This tour starts from 9:00am and ends at 3:30pm, the trip will be on a sharing traditional dhow.
Dolphin Tour offers you the experience of a lifetime, a chance to swim with dolphins in their natural habitat. We will depart from the shores of Kizimkazi fishing village in search of dolphins. Snorkeling gear is available for you. The boat will take you out where the odds of meetings dolphins are about 90%. After the exhilarating experience of swimming with the dolphins, you can also do snorkeling for a while before we will head back to shore. The trip takes about 4 hours starting very early in the morning.
There are about 6000 red colobus monkeys residing in Jozani Forest. Jozani Forest has several habitats including swamp forest, evergreen thickets, mangroves, as well as a variety of wildlife, including sykes and red colobus monkeys, and lots of birdlife. After visiting the monkeys, you will walk across to the Pete-Jozani Mangrove Boardwalk, which entwines through coral thicket vegetation, mangrove forest and across a creek.
